Business Development Manager – Canada/North America

FiiZK is setting up an office in Canada and we are now looking for a Business Development Manager and a Project Manager for Canada/North America.

The company

FiiZK is a Norwegian company formed in 2019 resulting from the merger of the companies Botngaard, Infront- X and SHM Enabling Solutions. We are an experienced supplier to the fish farming industry with an extensive product portfolio covering closed and semi-closed cage systems, software solutions and tarpaulin products covering onshore and offshore use. The company has close to 100 employees and our head office is located in Trondheim, Norway.

As an important part of our ambitious strategy, FiiZK group is establishing presence in Canada/North America. We already operate in Canada and North America with FiiZK staff currently travelling from Norway.

Business Development Manager

In the initial phase you are expected to represent FiiZK and our products in Canada, as well as participating in establishing a FiiZK office in Canada. We also require you to use your network to increase awareness of FiiZK as a company and our products in your area.
The right candidate will have the opportunity to progress to a General Management position for FiiZK in Canada providing we reach our targets. A General Manager will be responsible for managing sales, administrative and operational issues.
Taking on position as BDM will give a unique opportunity for an independent and varied workday; were you balance your efforts between strategic and operational issues. Further you will have decisive influence on the future organization and results of FiiZK in your area.
Office location to be agreed, however it is likely that we will establish an office in the area of Vancouver Island/Campbell River.

The candidate

To qualify you need operational and management experience from the Canadian fish farming industry. You might also have experience within sales management to the same industry. In addition, we would require you to have a broad network in the aquaculture industry. Educational background within aquaculture is an advantage, but not an absolute requirement.
As a person you need to be outgoing, independent, resourceful and results driven.
