FiiZK announces redundancies

Press release from FiiZK 30th of November 2022

FiiZK has today announced redundancy notices to more than 30 of its employees.
Most of the redundancies affects employees in the administration department and development department at the head office in Trondheim.

Since the resource rent tax was introduced in September this year, it has been challenging to enter larger contracts with fish farmers in Norway. As a result of this, FiiZK is in a different situation heading into 2023 than we were in the beginning of 2022.

FiiZK will now take care of affected colleagues, at the same time as we honor our ongoing and agreed orders as well as development processes with aquaculture customers. We will further strengthen our focus on creating activity outside Norway’s borders, until we see more clearly the effect the resource rent tax on the willingness to invest in Norway.

FiiZK’s three Norwegian factories, which also produce industrial textiles for agriculture, construction industry and off-shore, still have solid order reserve and will operate as normal through the winter.
